Silver Dollar City with the Parents

I went to SDC in October to see the brand new Pumpkin Festival.  It was well worth it.  Mom and Dad came along - though she didn't seem to make the cut when it came to photos! It was really nice weather and they both seemed to enjoy themselves.  I didn't think we were going to get Dad back up the hill to the front of the place at the end of the day though.  Heather & Rami were there the day before and took them to see the Statler Brothers.  Mom loved it!

Bryce and Zion Canyons

We went to Zion and Bryce Canyon in September.  It was Steve's annual hiking trip with his friends and the wives tagged along.  The weather was beautiful and the scenery can't be beat.  If you haven't been here you need to put it on your list!

August & September

Lots of catching up to do!  So here are all the pictures jumbled up together. The kids at Big Cedar. They love the lazy river.

Gus and Grandpa modeling their glasses.

Uncle Tommy & Aunt Jena were in town over Labor Day.  There was a big cycling race in Benton Park. They are waiting patiently for it to start.

So are they.

Quick trip to Arrowrock.

Off to Bloomington

https://youtu.be/RF8JfveuRss  Olivia was off school for 2 days so it was the perfect opportunity to take a few of the grandkids to Bloomington, Il and visit Marie Beckmann Hatelids ranch.  She had horses, chickens, a new riding arena and 2 dogs.  For some reason  I don't have any pictures of her place.  We visited Destil Brewery and had lunch.  And then we went to Rader Farms.  It's a pumpkin patch. Lots of fun was had by all.  We were able to avoid the rain and play and have apple cider donuts and apple cider slushies.

The  next day we drove in town to the Childrens Discovery Museum.  It was 3 floors of fun.

Olivia's Summer of Fun!

I watched Olivia a few times this summer when she wasn't attending Day Camp.  We tried to squeeze in a lot of fun stuff. We went to Grants Farm and fed the goats.

There's a new park on Kisker Rd. called Veterans Park.  They have a fun water feature.  She's playing with one of the Beckmanns granddaughters.

She attended Jump Vacation Bible School.

Dierbergs had a baking school and she thoroughly enjoyed it!

Big Joel's Safari

Some of the grandkids went to Big Joel's Safari with me and the Beckmanns. They had a lot of fun.  Feeding the birds was a highlight and they enjoyed the camel and pony rides.
