The Great Outdoors

 A trip with Grandpa is not complete without going on a Geocache hunt.  The kids were very excited because this one contained toys!

We went to the playground.  This is Michael's face when he is really concentrating on playing.

The kids found a balance beam to walk on.

Catherine was so sweet. She saw Michael trying to use the beam and went over to help him.

We had a picnic lunch at the park

and went on a short hike.

All this outdoor stuff can sure wear a guy out! 

First RV Trip

Grandparents and grandkids went on the first of hopefully many RV trips together!  We headed up to Mark Twain Lake on Friday.  We  met Uncle Greg, Aunt Ann and Cousin Todd.  The kids were pretty pumped up.  When we opened the slide to make the RV bigger they were amazed.

We headed over to the play ground.  There was lots of climbing, sliding and jumping.

They went back a 2nd time but according to Catherine, "There were hooligans there."   Then we needed to make a trip up to the store to buy some paper towels. It's the only way to travel!

The place we stayed at had activities planned all weekend.  One of them was bingo.  The girls really enjoyed that.  They each won a game and a prize! Ask Catherine what it means to "cover and play 4 corners".

Together Again!

We celebrated Tommy's 2nd anniversary with a few of his friends.  These pictures aren't very good.  Low light and it's a camera phone. But you get the idea.  It was really great that everyone (minus brother Mike) was able to make it.  When you have a policeman and a paramedic in the crowd you're not sure if they'll be off work or not.  I think it's something pretty special when the guys that you grew up with are still your best friends!

 I think they all ate their weight in meat!
