Gulf Shores

We left on New Years Eve to drive to Gulf Shores with Chris, Sunny & Olivia. It wasn't warm enough to swim in the ocean but it was great for hiking and exploring.  One of our activities was going to Fort Morgan.

We spent the afternoon at Gulf Shores State Park.  Beautiful views and lots of shells to pick up.

Who would not love a giant Unicorn Ice Cream?  Olivia said, "I'm so happy"!

We saw these on the beach one day.  Apparently after storms these Man-O-Wars wash up on the beach.

Christmas 2020

Christmas 2020 is in the books. It was different this year than in the past. Callaways didn't come over Christmas Eve and Elaine just got out of the hospital so she stayed home also.  Tommy, Jena & Jo didn't fly in, but I think we all still enjoyed the holidays.  Catherine, Mary and I took a painting class.  The girls pictures were much better than mine but I really enjoyed spending time with them.

We met up with Steve and the rest of the kids for pizza.  Everyone got a kick out of their light up hats.  Even Grandpa!

I have a little bit of room for another grandkid or two!

We did Christmas with Tommy, Jena and Jo by way of messenger.

Let the present opening begin!

A fun new card game called goat, cat, pizza, taco or something like that was enjoyed.

Mike and Catherine modeling their Christmas clothes.

Catherine made this blanket for us.  It's beautiful and I can't even guess how many hours it took to make.

Josephine is enjoying her Daddy reading one of her books she received for Christmas.

Big Bear and Pumpkins

Steve and I flew to LA to hang out with Jo. The first night there we stayed in the Marina. The views are beautiful.

The next day we all drove to the mountains and stayed in Big Bear.  We took a day and went hiking in the San Bernardino Mts.
We followed Castle Rock Trail and had some beautiful views.

Downtown Big Bear early in the morning

Josephine was worn out from all the hiking.

On the way back to LA we stopped at a pumpkin patch.

We ate lunch in Redlands.  This was a cute alley that had restaurants in it.

Josephine makes a trip to STL!

Josephine came to town! We were all very excited to see her. She had a very busy schedule. She visited with her grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts/uncles and cousins! You had to take a number and stand in line to hold her - she's just that sweet!

Jena's Family Visits the Farm

Tommy, Jena & Jo came for a visit in October.  We were able to coordinate it so Jena's family could meet us at the farm.  Lots of fun was had.  (Even though the look on Jena's face says "what you looking at?")

Jewel loved playing with the dolls.  Tommy was happy we had wifi!

We were able to squeeze in a hayride. Josephine loved it and wants to do it again!

                                                               Charlie got lots of loving.
