Mary's 10th Birthday

Yellowstone Part 2

We had a wonderful trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons with our neighbors in August.  We took a 6am wildlife tour one of the mornings.  Way too early to get up and see buffalo!

The waterfall in the background is 300 feet tall.  It's not as captivating as the young man that I'm with though!

In Jackson Hole, Wyoming they have a town square that has antler arches on each corner.

Right outside of Jackson Hole we saw mom, dad and baby moose.  The pictures are the best you're going to get with a cell phone.

This is the Mammoth Hot Springs area of Yellowstone.  It's the north entrance.  It looks like ice steps.  Very pretty.

This is one of the many geysers in the park.

Here we are with the Bahrs having dinner at Old Faithful Inn.

Michigan Pictures

Amber put lots of good pictures on her blog so I'm showing you some of the silly ones!  Charlie enjoyed his 2nd vacation with the grandkids.  (Colorado last year was his first).
They all had fun with the patriotic glasses.

Charlevoix Michigan is known for their mushroom houses.

Pioneer Woman and Magnolia Silos

While the guys were in New Mexico on a hiking trip, the girls took a trip to visit the Pioneer Woman and Magnolia Silos.  We arrived early enough in Pawhuska, OK that we didn't have to wait in line for breakfast.  The Pancakes had the best flavored butter I've ever had.  Delicious!

A view of the store.  Very reasonably priced items.

The lodge was open for visitors on the day we were there.  We took a drive out to the "country" to check it out.  The "country" dogs attacked my car and scratched both sides of it.  Don't need to repeat this visit!

Here is the kitchen that you see on her TV show.

Here is the kitchen that the actual cooking takes place in.

Next stop was Waco, TX to visit Magnolia.  This is their newest restaurant.

We didn't eat here because the wait was about 3 hours.

A couple miles away is the actual Silo Stores.

This is the courtyard behind the silos that has picnic seating and food trucks around the perimeter.

Cupcake Store!  Yummy!

I didn't buy anything at her stores because her stuff is  pretty darn expensive!
