Bratwurst Time!

Ever since Steve heard about the bratwurst restaurant in Venice he has wanted to go.  I was shocked that they didn't have Diet Coke.  Shocked I tell you!  I had to settle for this curiosity cola.    It lived up to it's name!

Olivia goes to the park

We took a quick trip to LA over the weekend.  It was short but sweet!  According to Sunny last week Olivia decided she doesn't like anyone except her Mom & Dad.  So, it took about an hour for her to warm up to us, but then she was good. She decided we were trustworthy enough to take a walk to the park.

Happy Valentines Day!

Today was all about fun!  We invited the grandkids over plus their friends Daisy & Caleb.

We played lots of games.  This one required them to walk on red hearts.  You can see another game in the background.  They had heart shaped bean bags to throw through the heart.

The table was decorated.

Lots of good lunch food.  (You can never have too many cupcakes!)

 I think bingo was the kids favorite game.  Each time they won they received a gold coin.  They could then go to Mr. Valentine's store and purchase a gift.



Ormond Beach

 Steve and I went to Ormond Beach last week. It was a nice relaxing vacation.  Our activities consisted of walking on the beach, laying by the pool (it was in the 80's a few days), eating and one trip to sightsee.  The view from our room was beautiful.

 We drove to the end of Daytona Beach to see the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse.

 With my love of heights, I made it about 1/2 way up to the top. Two gals on the way down said they would take me down while Steve went on up to the top. One of them patted me on the back and was shocked that my back was soaked with sweat!  Ahh, heights!

It was a photographers dream on the beach.  That is if you like birds. I really liked these little ones.  I think they are sandpipers, but not 100% sure.

 I was afraid this one was going to poop on me or peck my eyes out!

 This was like a scene out of the Birds.

We made it home just in time for the snow!
