Celebration Day!

Today, we celebrate one year of Tommy being cancer free! Not a day goes by that we don't thank God for healing our son. Tommy has accomplished so much this past year. He directed a feature length movie, went to Europe for a month with his wife, spent 6months editing the movie, gotten a job, pumped a lot of iron and ridden many, many miles on his bike. Take a look at this picture. This was Tommy before chemo.

This was Tommy during chemo. He was a good looking bald guy!

Here is now. Look at that beautiful curly hair!

Here is his new buff look. You can tell he's been lifting a few weights!

Congratulations Tommy! We love you! And we'll never complain about long hair again!

New and Improved

Mike and I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese one day last week. We were pleasantly surprised. They had totally remodeled the place. Lots more rides and games.
As you can see, Michael, Jr. thoroughly enjoyed driving the car!

Chuck himself came out and paid the kids a visit.

There was an incredibly large rocking horse that the kids enjoyed.

They messed our pizza up and to make up for it, they gave us so many tokens we couldn't begin to use them all. Mike tried though! I think he had a better time than the kids.

Amber's Birthday

This is birthday season for the Rennier clan! This past weekend it was Amber's turn. Mike thought it would be funny to have a cauliflower cake for Amber. Funny? yes! Delicious? yes! Mary helped her blow the candle out.

Catherine was very excited to give her momma the present that she, Mary and Michael made.

They did a very good job picking out the lady bug design and the colors for this picture.

She did have a real cake too! Maggie Moo's has the best ice cream cakes!

All this excitement just wears a girl out!

Mike's Birthday

We had a little get together to celebrate Michael's 31st birthday. As with all good parties, a little dress up is required!

A few presents need to be opened.

You need to make sure that the rum sauces doesn't burn.

And you need to let your oldest daughter blow out your candles (even if you didn't ask her too)!

Happy Birthday, Mike!

All around New Orleans

Dad standing by statues of Pete Fountain and Al Hirt. This is in front of Cafe Beignet. Yum! Yum!

Carriage rides in front of Jackson Square.

Mom and Dad on the carriage ride. Dad wasn't too thrilled with going on this. He said growing up he'd already spent enough time on this end of a mule!

Eating lunch at Bubba Gumps.

Exploring the French Market.

There is a guy standing on top of the Nachez playing ? I don't think it's an organ. Maybe a calliope?

New Orleans requires a lot of walking. But it was worth it. Very enjoyable.
