Ultralight Tent

I just acquired a new backpacking tent, the Tarptent Contrail. It's very light - 24 ounces - and packs small.

Here it is, as setup in the backyard:


This gallon container of milk gives you an idea of its packed size:


It's much smaller than my old tent in packed size, and it's over two pounds lighter (60% less):


With backpacking tents, bigger is NOT better.
